This is the new Netherlands away kit 2014/15, the Dutch national

van Persie and his teammates at the upcoming World Cup.
The new Netherlands jersey features an isometric grid pattern of interlocking chevrons that start at the top as bright blue and gradually become darker, ending as purple at the hem.
The pattern has a glow and depth, representing the prominence of water in Dutch life and the country’s landscape.
The blue in the pattern signifies the Dutch royal family and the color of the cross that appears in their official flag.

Referees prepare for World Cup / Have a Fun Wigs
(FIFA.com) Friday 28 March 2014
Referees
and assistant referees from Asia, Oceania and Europe met for a
week-long seminar at the Home of FIFA in Zurich in preparation for the
2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.
Between 24 and 28 March, the 17 Referees and 31 Assistant referees have undergone several medical, physical, psychological and technical checks, in order to give them an impression of their current status.
There has also been a new approach to the technical side, where video analysis of match situations have been used with the aim of offering uniformity, consistency and changing mentalities towards tactics, with the referees expressing themselves, sharing their opinions for reading the game and understanding different mentalities.
The match officials also practiced a number of real game type scenarios, using U-21 and U-18 players from FC Zurich, as they sought to find uniformity in their decision-making process and positioning.
“We had a group of referees and assistant referees here in the Home of FIFA this week, who were really motivated," FIFA's Head of Refereeing, Massimo Busacca said. "I’m very happy about their dedication and work this week."
The next seminar, starting on Monday 7 April, will see the remaining referees and assistant referees from Africa, North, Central America and the Caribbean and South America in Zurich.

The Portugal international has hit out at the referee in the wake of los Blancos' Clasico loss, and he feels the official favoured Barca during the controversial contest
Cristiano Ronaldo has slammed referee Undiano Mallenco in the wake of Real Madrid's 4-3 La Liga loss against Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday evening.
Madrid were awarded a controversial spot kick shortly after half-time, but Mallenco also pointed to the spot in Barcelona's favour twice in the remainder of the game - while also dismissing Sergio Ramos - and Ronaldo feels the official deliberately favoured the Catalans.
"Undiano Mallenco is not suitable for games like this. We were playing against 12. It's always the same. It's like they don't want us to win and wanted Barcelona back in the title race," Ronaldo told reporters
"I am not looking for excuses, but I don't want to stay quiet on this. The referee was not at the required level for a big game like this.
"I have been here for five years now and I know how things work. If Barcelona had lost, they would have been out of the title race. I have never seen Real Madrid being favoured by the referees."
Ronaldo remains confident that Madrid will win the Liga title, however, irrespective of Sunday's defeat at the Bernabeu.
"Regardless of all that happened, Madrid will still win La Liga."
Carlo Ancelotti's side currently sit joint first with Atletico Madrid, while Barca are third, just a single point behind.

Japan's home away from home / Japan and Brazil story / Have a Fun Wigs
The story of Japanese immigration to Brazil essentially revolves around a country’s need for labour, and the welcome it gave to people who chose to leave their homeland behind because of war and demographic crisis. It is a story that reveals the hospitality and easy-going nature of the Brazilians and the dedication and discipline of the Japanese.
The 165 Japanese families that disembarked from the ship Kasato Maru at the Brazilian port of Santos on 28 April 1908 had little idea what fate held in store for them. All that small band of pioneers knew was that, following a 50-day voyage, they had come to work, and to work hard. And they would not be the only ones. Between then and 1940, some 180,000 Japanese would make the journey to Santos to begin a new life in Brazil.

Wednesday 12 March at 12.00 CET /08.00 Brasilia. No tickets are
available for the Opening Match in Sao Paulo and the Final in Rio de
Janeiro, in addition to the two semi-finals in Belo Horizonte and Sao

Fans from 212 countries and territories have already secured their tickets,” said Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director in charge of ticketing. “I´m sure they´ll enjoy the unique atmosphere in the country of football!”
All spectators, including children of all ages, require a ticket to access the stadium. New Arena enthrals fans / Have Fun with Flag Wigs !

As the countdown continues to the start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™,
the latest venue has been unveiled by the host nation. On Sunday 9
March, a quarter-final clash in the Copa Verde (a competition for clubs
from Brazil’s
northern region) between Amazonas side Nacional and Para outfit Remo
was the setting for the inauguration of the Arena Amazonia in Manaus.
With
a capacity of 40,000 for World Cup games, the venue will host four
group-stage fixtures: the eagerly awaited clash of England and Italy in
Group D on 14 June; the meeting of Croatia and Cameroon in Group A on 18
June; USA versus Portugal in Group G on 22 June, as well as
Switzerland-Honduras in Group E three days later.
While
yesterday’s 2-2 draw and consequent elimination from the competition
was not the result Nacional supporters were hoping for, there was the
consolation of now having an ultra-modern stadium with levels of safety,
convenience and spectator comfort to rival some of the finest venues in
the world.
It is also a stadium inspired
by Amazonian traditions, its outer shell resembling a straw basket
typical of the region. Then there are the seats, coloured in shades of
yellow, orange and coral, to represent the diversity of fruits
indigenous to the Amazon.
The importance
placed on spectator comfort is evident both in the stadium’s design and
choice of materials. For example, a special skin on the roof membrane
allows a high degree of heat absorption, ensuring the temperature inside
the stadium is lower than that outside.
