Italy vs Luxembourg Friendly Match before Brazil World Cup Draw 1:1 / Have a Fun Flag Wig !

Claudio Marchisio put Italy on the board after only nine minutes on Wednesday, but despite the strong start the Azzurri failed to grow into the match and eventually drew with Luxembourg following Maxine Chanot’s late header.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon had only just made one of his few saves of the game when Marchisio lifted the ball downfield to Mario Balotelli, who held it up masterfully as Marchisio continued his run down downfield before completing the neat bit of interplay with a chipped pass for the midfielder to direct into the goal.

It was a well-worked piece of buildup, and just six minutes later, Balotelli nearly doubled Italy’s advantage when he placed his shot slightly over the crossbar after being set up by the active Antonio Candreva.

Claudio Marchisio had Italy on the board afteronly nine minutes.

Luxembourg, who rarely troubled the opposing defense in Perugia, nearly created something when Mario Mutsch tried to get under an arcing ball midway through the first half, but Giorgio Chiellini was on hand to head the ball away from danger.

Balotelli had his next opportunity on the stroke of the half-hour mark. Marco Verratti, who was the best player on the pitch before his withdrawal in the 54th minute, threaded a delightful pass through to the AC Milan forward, although the final product was once again lacking.

Then Andrea Pirlo came close but faltered—the midfield maestro putting an accurate free-kick on target with two minutes remaining in the opening frame that Luxembourg goalkeeper Anthony Moris had to do well to save.

Azzurri boss Cesare Prandelli must have had a few words for his charges at the interval because they came out firing to start the second half.

Maxine Chanot headed home the equaliser with five minutes remaining.

Less than a minute had ticked off the clock when Verratti’s cultured lob intended for Marchisio didn’t quite connect, and two minutes later the Paris Saint-Germain playmaker again set up Balotelli, who then missed the target completely.

Shortly before the hour-mark Balotelli, following a slalom run through the defense, rang his shot off the crossbar, and as play continued to slow at the Stadio Renato Curi, both managers made several changes to their line-ups.

Prandelli’s substitutions including introducing Antonio Cassano, Alberto Aquilani, Andrea Ranocchia, Lorenzo Insigne, Marco Parolo and Alessio Cerci, but none of them could provide the bit of insurance that Italy would end up needing before the final whistle.

England vs Ecuador Friendly match 2:2 Draw / Have a Fun Flag Wig !

Raheem Sterling and Antonio Valencia were sent off as England drew their ill-tempered FIFA World Cup™ warm-up against Ecuador in the Miami heat. In the humid Floridian climate, Enner Valencia headed Ecuador in front after some sloppy defending by Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw. Wayne Rooney equalised and Rickie Lambert brilliantly put England ahead, but Roy Hodgson had to settle for a 2-2 draw thanks to Michael Arroyo's long-range strike.
Italy's shocking build-up to the World Cup continued as their winless run was extended to seven games by Luxembourg after a 1-1 draw in Perugia. Claudio Marchisio's ninth-minute goal had put the hosts in front and Italy should have extended their lead but were twice denied by the woodwork in the second half.

Maxine Chanot pulled Luxembourg level with five minutes remaining when he nodded past a helpless Gianluigi Buffon in the Italy goal. Luxembourg followed the Republic of Ireland, Nigeria and Armenia in drawing with Cesare Prandelli's side in their near nine-month barren spell - although only world and European champions Spain have beaten them in that time, alongside six draws.

Italy will try to put the result behind them before their World Cup opener against England on 14 June in Brazil. They have one more warm-up game, against Brazilian club side Fluminense on Sunday.

Robin van Persie sparked fresh concerns over his fitness after playing just 45 minutes of the Netherlands' laboured 2-0 friendly win over stubborn Wales in Amsterdam. The Manchester United striker, who had an injury-curtailed second half of the season, was withdrawn at half-time of Holland's final match before flying to Brazil for the World Cup.

Louis van Gaal's side won the game comfortably enough with goals from Arjen Robben and Jeremain Lens, but under-strength Wales proved worthy opponents and frustrated them for large spells. Elsewhere, Goals from Nabil Bentaleb and El Arbi Soudani gave Algeria a 2-1 win over Romania in Geneva.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Bentaleb's opener was cancelled out by Alexandru Chipciu but Soudani, the Dinamo Zagreb forward, struck a 66th-minute winner. Jamaica and Egypt drew 2-2 in a friendly played at Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium.

Mohamed El Nenny headed the African side into the lead but Simon Dawkins - registered across London at Tottenham and having spent a successful loan spell at Derby County this season - equalised when he tucked away Chris Humphrey's cross. Yeovil forward Joel Grant's stylish solo goal put the Reggae Boyz ahead but after Mohamed Salah twice missed presentable chances, the Chelsea winger set up the equaliser for substitute Bassin Morsi.

Portugal fret over Ronaldo fitness / Have a Fun Flag Wig !

Portugal were gearing up for the 2014 FIFA World Cupon Tuesday in New Jersey, fretting over the fitness of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

With the World Cup looming, the FIFA Ballon d'Or winner as best footballer of last year, had some bad news about his recent aches and pains. Ronaldo has a "muscle injury on the back of his left thigh as well as left-leg patellar tendinitis," the Portuguese Football Association said in a report on his medical issues and those of stars Raul Meireles, Pepe and Beto.
Amid some heavy downpours, the four spent their time at the New York Jets' training center grinding it out on different exercises meant to get them in the best possible shape in the final sprint before the World Cup starts 12 June.

While Portugal have previously discussed superstar Ronaldo's thigh injury -sustained late in the season - it was the first time they reported patellar tendinitis.

The Portuguese have been drawn in Group G at the World Cup and will face Germany on 16 June in Salvador, USA a week later in Manaus and then Ghana on 26 June in Brasilia.
"We hope that Cristiano is in good enough shape to play - and to help the team," team-mate Nani, who plays for Manchester United, told reporters.

Ronaldo "is going well, and he is relaxed about it ... Things are going the right way," he added, after hundreds of fans welcomed the team at the Newark airport in New Jersey, just outside New York City.

Portugal will play two friendlies while in the United States. They take on Mexico in Foxboro near Boston on Friday - at the home of the NFL's New England Patriots. Next Tuesday they face Ireland at the Jets' MetLife Stadium - which hosted the Super Bowl in February.

Nani, 27, who missed out on the last World Cup in South Africa due to a shoulder injury, said fitness woes can make a player "distracted and less sure of himself."
"If for some reason (Ronaldo) is not there, whoever is there playing has to be confident in their ability to get the job done," he said. "The World Cup is a one-of-a-kind challenge. I want to be fully fit, and in top form alongside my team-mates. I could not be there last time, but happily, I am here now," said Nani, who has played 73 games and scored 14 goals with Portugal's national side.

He said the first clash with Germany will be key to setting the tone for the rest of the tournament, preferably a winning one.

Colombia 23 Squad to Brazil, sorry Falcao lost becaues of injury / Have a Fun Flag Wig !

Colombia's star striker Radamel Falcao has lost his battle to be fit for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.
National coach Jose Pekerman named his tournament squad on Monday evening during a press conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Falcao, who suffered a serious knee injury when on duty for his club side Monaco in January, was left off the 23-man list, with Pekerman deciding he would not be ready.
The former Atletico Madrid frontman, who was a big-money signing by Monaco last summer, looked to have no hope of making his country's squad for the tournament in Brazil when he sustained the injury, however his recovery then progressed swiftly.
Pekerman said last week he would "wait for Falcao until the last day, the last minute" before deciding on his fitness, after consulting with medical experts, and the final decision went against the 28-year-old.
"Muriel, Perea and Falcao are not going to be at the World Cup, Jose Pekerman has announced," said a message on the national team's official Twitter account.
Colombia face Greece, Côte d'Ivoire and Japan at Brazil 2014.
Falcao said following the announcement, according to Colombian newspaper El Pais: "I was very excited but now I'll have to support the team from afar and I wish them well, hoping they play a good World Cup."
After taking the tough decision, Pekerman called it "the saddest day I've had since becoming Colombia coach".

Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia is the star name in Ecuador's 23-man party, which was announced on the national federation's website.
The 28-year-old will be hoping to put a miserable domestic campaign with United behind him when his country take on Switzerland, Honduras and France in Group E.
